This is an opportunity to join us at the forefront of a once-in-a-generation technological advancement whilst at the same time securing the nation against ever-increasing threats.Due to our continuous growth and expansion, we are looking for a Security Operations Engineer to join our Operations team to play a crucial role in ensuring the protection of our assets, maintaining compliance, and driving the overall security of our cloud infrastructure. The role is based in our Canberra office.You will be responsible for: Assisting in the implementation of robust security policies, procedures, and systems to safeguard classified environments of national significance. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify potential vulnerabilities, proactively addressing risks and ensuring the utmost data integrity and security. Being a key stakeholder in the development of our security architecture and having the ability to influence key design decisions. Keeping pace with the market around ways to improve security through selection and deployment of technologies and other controls. To be successful you will be able to demonstrate: NV1 Clearance (Australian Citizenship) Strong understanding of networking services, protocols, and OSI model Ability to analyze security logs and identify anomalies Proficiency in building and utilizing virtual environments, including automation via CLI Proven analytical and problem-solving skills Experience supporting Linux environments and scripting languages such as bash or python Flexibility and availability to participate in a 24/7 roster Experience and understanding of security frameworks and standards like NIST, ISM, E8 Experience in SIEM alert monitoring and incident response Proficiency and ability to read and analyze threat intelligence reports and implement security measures.
