Purposeful work with genuinely good people. That’s refreshing. We have an opportunity for a Security Systems Specialist to ensure security in design across AusNet’s infrastructure. You’ll integrate, maintain, and enhance access control, CCTV, and biometrics systems while providing risk-based security advice. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing security assets, ensuring compliance, and strengthening AusNet’s security culture. This role offers flexible hybrid working, based in Flinders Street, Melbourne, as part of the Protective Security Team. This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to: Integrate, program, and configure technical security systems, including access control, CCTV, and biometrics. Provide risk-based security advice to mitigate emerging threats. Ensure all technical security assets are captured and documented for both new and existing projects. Develop and maintain technical security standards, designs, and protocols. Support fault-finding, reporting, and operational responses to security incidents. Manage security contractors to ensure value for money and adherence to standards. Monitor compliance with security regulations and frameworks. You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of: Relevant degree in engineering or a technology-related field. 5+ years of experience in a technology role, preferably within security systems. Experience managing and configuring Gallagher access control systems and CCTV platforms (Ocularis preferred). Knowledge of Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and CPTED principles. Experience leading or supporting large-scale construction projects incorporating technical security. Strong stakeholder engagement, advocacy, and problem-solving skills.
