We are now seeking a qualified Senior A-Class Electrician to join our team of CAT specialists in our Power Systems Division. The successful applicant will have extensive experience with generator control systems, switchboard installations and power generation projects. You must be able to work unsupervised and extended hours when required in a field or workshop environment, giving you exposure to some of the most unique CAT equipment in the industry. With your 'A' Class Electrical qualification and combined experience in the power generation sector and related control systems, this role offers variety, stability, a great team environment and the opportunity to utilize your leadership and coaching skills - all this with the industry market leader! Your responsibilities will include: Complete electrical diagnosis and repair Turn key power generation projects Routine maintenance on generator assembly systems Simple and complex load testing Industrial and marine engines and control systems installations and maintenance, all while working to the highest of company standards. Skills and Experience: Demonstrated experience in programming, commissioning and troubleshooting generator control systems including Comap, Woodward and Caterpillar controls Experience with PLC programming highly regarded Dual Trade with Electrical/Instrumentation qualification an advantage Supervisory experience of a small team preferred Experience with solar or renewable energy preferred A current and valid Driver’s License Technical diagnostic skills and computer literacy Good organisational and time management skills An ability to work remotely for extended periods when required.
