Opportunity for an experienced Business Services Accountant to join a leading mid-tier firm, with exposure to Directors, Partners and diverse clients. MARS are partnering with a high performing mid-tier accounting firm, that's looking to hire a Senior Accountant to join their large Business Services division, due to ongoing business growth. The successful candidate will have worked with a diverse portfolio of clients, taken ownership of their work and is confident leading client engagements.This position will report directly to the Directors and Managers, operating within a young, dynamic and supportive team and lend exposure to guiding a team of junior accountants. Responsibilities: Manage a diverse client portfolio, delivering tailored, value-added accounting and advisory services. Prepare and review financial reports including trial balance and statements of financial performance and position. Prepare and finalise tax returns and business activity statements. Analyse financial statements and provide commentary to explain key matters. Preparation of budgets and cash flows, including identifying key issues to be highlighted for discussion with the Director and client. Complete the management account checklist. Support clients with various compliance and business needs, including fringe benefits tax, payroll, tax planning etc. Collaborate with clients, managers, and partners to address queries and deliver solutions. Provide strategic advice on business operations, regulatory compliance, restructuring, system implementation, and estate or succession planning. Oversee team workflow, including mentoring, developing, and supervising junior staff members. Requirements: CA/CPA qualified with 3-5 years' experience in a business services division in a Mid-Tier or Big 4 firm (essential). Strong financial reporting, tax preparation, problem-solving, and client relationship building skills. Confident and comfortable operating in a fast paced and dynamic environment. Experience in a leadership or mentoring role. Ability to manage your time and projects effectively. Driven and hardworking with an eagerness to develop your accounting career.
