Senior Accountant / Supervisor

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Accountant or Supervisor to join our team in a full-time role, based in our Sunshine Coast office. We also offer flexibility to work from home when suitable. In this role, you will work closely with your Manager and Director in maintaining and establishing client relationships, including actively engaging with clients. You will work with a diverse client base across a broad range of industry sectors and must have solid business services and tax experience with a variety of clients. Exposure to or experience in Advisory work is not essential but will be highly regarded. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Managing a group of clients Preparation and/or review of financial statements, tax returns, and BAS/IAS Providing tax planning advice and other general accounting-related advice to clients Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office and other departments when necessary Providing training and mentoring to more junior team members Successful applicants will: Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience working within an Accountancy Firm in Business Services Be degree qualified and working towards or holder of CA / CPA Have broad knowledge of Australian tax fundamentals Have strong tax and financial technical skills Have prior experience actively engaging with clients Be willing to be actively involved with training and mentoring of more junior staff Have experience with Xero, XPM, and ideally Microsoft Teams Be comfortable speaking with clients with excellent communication skills Have an excellent can-do attitude and enjoy helping others Have strong organizational and time management skills Show a strong degree of initiative with the ability to work with minimal supervision Bring enthusiasm and self-motivation to the workplace.
