THE OPPORTUNITY Reporting to the Senior Manager, Employee Experience & Inclusion (EE&I), and as part of the broader HR team, the Senior Advisor, Employee Experience & Inclusion performs a wide range of functions in support of the EE&I Center of Excellence (COE). The position will have responsibility for employee experience and engagement initiatives including engagement/pulse surveys, the recognition program, new employee onboarding and orientation, and supports the advancement of the values and culture work at BCI. The Senior Advisor will partner with employees, business leaders, and other HR Centers of Excellence to successfully manage and develop employee experience programming that aligns with business goals. WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH The Employee Experience & Inclusion (EE&I) team is at the epicenter of BCI’s culture, fostering a positive experience for all employees. The team is responsible for the execution and implementation of strategy, programs, and initiatives, which include a focus on engagement, culture, diversity, inclusion and building BCI’s competitive advantage through employee experience initiatives. WHAT YOU BRING Must have: Five+ years of progressive Human Resources related experience and a relevant post-secondary degree or equivalent Previous experience in supporting organizational people & culture initiatives Strong project management and organizational skills with a high attention to details Demonstrated effective communication skills dealing with a diverse range of professionals in a proactive and confidential manner Ability to effectively build trusted working relationships and provide guidance to employees and leaders with a service-minded attitude Strong data analytical skills including the ability to craft compelling narratives with data insights Ability to multi-task and seamlessly change priorities when required WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO Support the design and implementation of employee engagement strategies by providing input and feedback Develop employee experience focused communications for the intranet and HR SharePoint site including articles and other communications in partnership with the Client and Communications team Manage the planning, deployment, analysis, and communication related to roll out of engagement and pulse surveys across the organization Work in partnership with the Senior Manager and HR Business Partnership COE to deliver survey results to business lines and develop action plans informed by survey results Manage and coordinate all components of BCI’s New Employee Onboarding Program including facilitation of the Quarterly Orientation and Day 1 Orientation Develop and sustain the Onboarding Journey in Workday Support the ongoing activation and enhancement of BCI’s Employee Value Proposition (EVP) Manage and sustain BCI’s Recognition Program, including administration of the Achievers platform Support the Senior Manager on culture initiatives In collaboration with Corporate & Investor Relations Community Engagement team, manage and enhance the employee volunteering aspects of the Community Engagement Program Manage the application process for employer awards including Canada’s Top 100; develop communications plans for awards and stay abreast of and identify other potential awards programs Provide direction on specific work tasks to the HR Technician Support the Senior Manager with presentation and reporting related to the EDI Leadership Council, Board of Directors, Client, and External Stakeholders Act for the Senior Manager in their absence WHERE YOU WILL WORK Work from our downtown Victoria office. We are an in-person collaborative organization with the flexibility to work remotely 1-day a week. SALARY RANGE BCI offers a competitive total rewards package which includes a performance-based incentive plan, comprehensive health & dental benefits, a defined benefit pension plan and paid time off. The annualized base salary range for this Victoria-based role is CAD $100,000 - $120,000. The base salary offered to the successful candidate will consider a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill set, level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered and consideration to internal equity. We pay our people competitively in the markets in which we operate and with consideration to internal equity and job structure. We aim for actual pay to be around the median of the market for target or expected levels of performance, and around the upper quartile of the market for excellent performance.
