Senior Advisor (Information Access) The Office of General Counsel Employment Type: Temporary (Fixed-term/secondment opportunity) Employment period: until 30 June 2025 Classification / Grade / Band: Clerk Grade 9/10 Remuneration: $125,693 - $138,510; plus, Superannuation and Leave Loading Location: Sydney CBD, Flexible & hybrid working options available Applications Close: Wednesday, 5 February 2025 at 9:59am Role impact & contribution As a Senior Advisor (Information Access) , you will provide expert advice, practical and matter management support on a broad range of information access matters on a whole of government basis. You will primarily be processing and deciding applications under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 and managing Treasury responses to Standing Orders 52 issued by the Legislative Assembly, delivering outcomes in a time-sensitive environment. What you can bring to the role Experience leading information access matters, specifically orders for papers under Standing Order 52 and applications under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009. Tertiary or postgraduate qualifications in government, political science, law, economics or in a related discipline, or demonstrated, equivalent, relevant professional experience and training. Sound knowledge of good governance principles. The ability to acquire technical aptitude in legal and eDiscovery technology solutions. Demonstrated capacity to learn and adapt quickly, prioritise, remain accountable for, and contextualise solutions. Knowledge or capacity to scale familiarity of legislation, case law and other precedents in any areas of law administered by the agency and which have an impact on the government. Proven ability to deliver timely and relevant services collaboratively, inclusively and flexibly in a high-volume complex environment. Preparedness to extend expertise, experience and skills into new and unfamiliar areas at the intersection of information access, transactions, and political considerations. Capacity to exhibit and model the OGC’s purpose, promise and principles in contributing to the work of the information access function within Treasury.
