Senior Analyst, Data Science Job number: 797529 Primary position location: NSW- Sydney CBD Primary position location: VIC- Melbourne CBD Category: Data & Analytics Category: Data Engineering Category: Information, Communication & Technology Work type: Permanent Full time Closing at: Jan 31 2025 at 23:55 AEDT Favourite Develop and deliver best in class data science driven initiatives and outcomes in Personal Banking Drive data-driven modelling and analysis to support business outcomes and use cases Opportunities available to work alongside key strategic partners to gain exposure to broader analytics As a Senior Analyst, Data Science in the Personal Banking Data and Analytics Team, you will: Deliver tailored solutions and apply advanced data analytics best practices to meet key business objectives Work across the prioritisation of focus across multiple streams of work Develop model validation and selection of best fit-for-purpose model Create analytical tools and models to quantify value driven initiatives and ensure they deliver financial and operational outcomes back to the Personal Banking business Develop recommendations to inform and influence decision-makers Extract data from a range of sources and combine, synthesise and analyse to generate insights Clearly communicate and present ideas and outcomes to stakeholders Work with analytics partners to provision data and shape insights What you will bring: Strong experience working in a Data Science role Hands-on involvement in multiple business-focussed use cases applying predictive and financial modelling Excellent skills in communicating insights effectively to a non-expert audience (both verbal and written) Demonstrated experience of best practice engineering principles across data sourcing, cleansing, joining and ETL Strong problem-solving skills and well versed in stakeholder engagement Exceptional SQL, Python/R skills Strong understanding of risk in data Knowledge across the banking/financial services domain and Agile methodology experience It is desirable to have experience across PowerBI and Databricks A diverse and inclusive workplace works better for everyone We know that our people make us who we are.
