WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview): *This is a two year term position funding connected to Long-Term Recovery Response. This position can be based anywhere in the US, however West Coast hours will be required. The American Red Cross is seeking a Sr. financial analyst to support the Humanitarian Programs Finance department. The Sr. analyst will support multiple financial aspects of the Long-Term Recovery operation. The role will be heavily focused on performing financial analysis and presenting and producing timely and directionally accurate management reports and recommendations to help influence leadership decisions. The Sr. analyst will often need to produce these reports from multiple sources and will have to use their best judgement to give the most directionally accurate information. The position is remote from anywhere in the United States. Availability to travel and deploy out of state to one or more disaster relief operations a year is encouraged (approximately two weeks per deployment) depending on the number of disasters that occur. This is a limited term position of two years conditional to funding from DR activities related to Helene and Milton disasters. WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities): Conduct and document moderate to complex financial analysis and budgets for Long Term Recovery Programs. Develop, interpret, and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control. Provide monthly expense analyses and reports to directors of assigned recovery programs. Monitor operating budget process and allocations. Provide analysis to determine present and future performance. Develop and maintain due diligence process for grants for respective recovery operations. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications) Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required. CPA may be preferred. Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Management Experience: N/A Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of applicable principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Basic proficiency in use of Personal Computer, word-processing, spreadsheet applications, and database applications when applicable. Ability to work on a team. Travel: May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout the Red Cross system. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The work environment will consist of moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones and printers, light traffic). The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle and have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. COMPENSATION RANGE AND BENEFITS FOR YOU: The salary range for this position is: $82,000.00- $91,000.00.
