Our vision is to be a dynamic prosecution service recognised for its excellence and leadership.The ODPP is committed to having a diverse and inclusive workplace by providing ongoing support and opportunities for all staff.About the role: We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. Reporting directly to the FP&A Manager and working closely with the Director of Finance and Facilities (CFO), this role will provide critical financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making across the organisation.You will play a key role in driving budget formulation, management, and forecasting, ensuring financial and operational performance is consistently monitored and understood.Key accountabilities include: Provide high level support and advice to internal stakeholders on financial matters in areas such as budgeting, forecasting, business plans, savings strategies and financial structures to best utilise financial resources and enhance financial performance. Provide timely, high-level support to the CFO, FP&A Manager and ODPP senior management/business partners as required with budget preparation, monthly performance reporting including review, analysis and interrogation of variances and full year projections. Act as the main liaison between the FP&A team and DCJ Shared Services and represent the needs/interests of the ODPP to ensure the optimal use of MyWorkZone capabilities to provide effective Finance and Procurement services to ODPP staff. Collaborate with the HR function on the corporate planning needs of the Office in relation to staff-related decisions by ensuring a consistent and shared understanding of FTE reporting and budgeting. Utilising Financial modelling and reporting tools (IBM Planning Analytics/TM1) to develop innovative data solutions, and address financial reporting, modelling, and analytical challenges. Lead and/or support a range of Finance projects or special investigations as required. About you: Experience in business partnering, providing financial advice and guidance to both operational and senior leadership teams. Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Proficiency in financial modelling and reporting applications (IBM Planning Analytics/TM1 experience is highly desirable). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple departments. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data and provide actionable insights. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and be a fully qualified CA, CPA, or equivalent (mandatory requirement).
