We make a difference, delivering outcomes for our millions of members Investments Risk & Control safeguards the financial stability and enables improved investment performance, through robust risk management & governance Melbourne or Sydney based Your new role Reporting to the Senior Manager, Investments Risk & Control, this is a Line 1 role that is responsible for delivering excellent Risk & Governance outcomes across the Investments domain.Key duties include but are not limited to: Identifying, documenting and executing investment governance artefacts and processes. This includes: Creating, maintaining and retiring artefacts such as Delegation letters, Investment mandates and FAR accountability statements; Designing, documenting, and embedding a process for managing the various artefacts; Participating in projects to optimise the investment governance process, including digital workflows and automation. Obtaining, consolidating and reviewing Investments Risk & Governance reporting for various Oversight forums. This includes: Engaging with numerous stakeholders across all Investments teams to obtain their key Risk management lifecycle updates; Using these inputs, prepare submissions for the Investments Committee (IC), Investments Risk & Compliance Committee (IRCC), and the Executive Risk Committee; Socialising these submissions for review and comment by IG&A leadership, editing and enhancing according to feedback, then finalising for approval and submission; Participating in projects to optimise the Risk & Governance reporting process, including digital workflows and automation. Managing incidents, issues and near misses according to the Fund's Incident Management and Breach Reporting Policy: Embedding & supporting the framework for Incident and Breach management in accordance with the established management policies and procedures; Liaising and coordinating with Investment teams and Risk partners to ensure effective management of Incidents and Issues, with particular focus on managing reportable incidents and escalation within the required timeframes; Managing investment incidents and issues ensuring prompt response and remediation, including timely communications to internal and external stakeholders; Monitoring incidents and issues, through trend and root cause analysis, escalating to senior management where necessary, and providing timely updates to Line 1 & 2 stakeholders. Delivering Risk & Control initiatives and projects to satisfy business requirements and objectives: Working collaboratively to deliver Asset Class Team and Departmental change programs to enable both Risk & Control and Business process uplift; Developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across the department and Fund. What you'll need Significant experience in a combination of operations, legal, compliance, audit or risk management roles, within financial services or related industry; Incident, Issue and/or Control management experience; Attention to detail and a sense of urgency; Self-driven and able to work independently, with strong planning and organisational skills; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills; Confidence interacting with people on different levels and experience liaising with and influencing internal/external stakeholders and cross-functional teams; Flexible and result driven, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise work in accordance with challenging deadlines and resource constraints; Experience in Archer Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) system is desirable; Experience in a regulated environment would be an advantage; Experience and understanding of Investments and investment processes is an advantage.
