The CommSec Line 1 Risk Chapter sits within CommSec Chief Operating Office (COO) and is responsible for managing the accuracy and completeness of CommSec Risk and Compliance Profile, reporting to key governance committees, maintaining compliance around our Australian Financial Services License requirements, coordinating Group Policy Regulatory and Framework changes, applying the Supplier Governance Framework and supporting Distribution, Digital and Product & Investing Solutions Crew. About the business & your team : You will support the Business Profile Management team to ensure the operational risk frameworks are followed and decisions are well informed, timely and communicated. This is achieved through performing end to end yearly risk assessments, managing and maintaining the overall data health of the business profile, communicating to the wider business unit and delivering group related initiatives and supporting the wider embedded Line 1 Risk Chapters with Control Assessments. Key responsibilities for this role include: Responsible for coordinating and completing Risk and Control Self-Assessment for material risks within the CommSec profile. Working closely with Line 2 Compliance to review and complete compliance self-assessment for in-scope obligation summaries. Manage data quality / maintain various databases (including RiskInSite) and provide insights on a weekly basis. On-going business profile management and maintenance. Conduct and manage Control Assurance Program (CAP) for all in-scope CommSec controls. Liaise with Business Banking to understand and deliver group initiatives including framework related changes. Contribute to a proactive risk and control culture and collaborate with the business. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. Improve existing manual processes within the team to include more automation. We’re interested in hearing from people who have: Understanding and experience in Operational and Compliance Risk is advantageous. Demonstrated experience in process improvement, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement strategies to enhance operational effectiveness. Proficient in data analysis, with an understanding of dashboards and automation tools to drive data-driven decision-making and optimize processes. Stakeholder management experience; Facilitation and presentation skills. An enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn.
