This person will be responsible for assuring the standards and policies for utilizing AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud services to protect business critical data and assets. This position will directly contribute to the overall global enterprise cloud architecture. A key responsibility will be contributing to and applying the security architecture framework across our businesses. The Senior Architect will analyze solution deployments, report findings and remediation recommendations, contribute expertise in discussions, embrace emerging trends, and help drive the Security Architecture future across all of News Corp’s business and technology groups. The position will require the ability to multitask and work independently, as well as work collaboratively with teams, some of which may be geographically distributed. Location: Australia Job Responsibilities: Contribute to the design, development, and review of security architectures for public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) Build and foster strong relationships with staff across numerous business units and time zones to enhance News Corp’s Cyber maturity Work with teams across Engineering and Cyber to recommend and vet appropriate technology solutions to fit local and global business requirements Apply your working knowledge of common and industry standard cloud native authentication mechanisms (OAuth, OpenID, AWS IAM etc) to help secure our platforms Maintain proficiency in cloud security best practices with knowledge of incident response and an understanding of cloud adversarial threats, tactics, and procedures Qualifications: 2 – 5 years of demonstrated experience with Cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud (GCP) Knowledge of the cloud security stack in one or more of AWS, Azure, and GCP 5+ years of demonstrated experience analyzing, building and solutioning architectures with a security mindset Expertise in Cybersecurity organization practices, operations, risk management processes, principles, architectural requirements, engineering, and threats and vulnerabilities. Including incident response methodologies, tactics, and strategy to protect, detect, respond, and recover from attacks Experience with Information Security frameworks and standards including NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, PCI-DSS, Sarbanes Oxley, and ISO27001 Experience with assessment, development, implementation, optimization, and documentation of a comprehensive and broad set of security technologies, automation, and processes on secure software development (Application Security), cloud-based Event Management (SIEM) solutions, and cloud-based log management solutions Preferably hold, or obtain, a relevant cyber security certification such as CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, or the various cloud service provider’s certifications Experience with current development platforms including Github, Terraform, Jenkins, etc. Expertise in agile methodologies and the implementation of security in devops and CI/CD environments Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing About News Corp: News Corp is a global diversified media and information services company focused on creating and distributing authoritative and engaging content to consumers and businesses throughout the world.
