About the Job Lead the development of asset strategies and management plans to optimise SA Water’s water assets. This role ensures infrastructure reliability, customer-focused outcomes, and long-term sustainability through data-driven planning, investment analysis, and stakeholder engagement. This role involves focused activity with the facilities of water storages and related system interfaces. About Sustainable Infrastructure The Sustainable Infrastructure group is dedicated to maximising value for customers and the community by developing innovative and optimised infrastructure plans, and overseeing the planning, construction, delivery, and maintenance of water and sewerage assets across the state and business. Your responsibilities for this opportunity Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day. You will: Develop and refine Asset Management Plans and approach documents that align with corporate strategy and customer needs. Conduct forecasting and risk analysis to inform asset investment decisions. Engage with key stakeholders to ensure effective planning and implementation. Optimise asset life-cycle costs through strategic planning and decision-making. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in asset management processes. Your success in this role will come from: Qualifications in Engineering, Science, Asset Management, or a relevant discipline. Extensive knowledge of water infrastructure assets, maintenance, or operations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in investment appraisal. Ability to work autonomously, manage ambiguity, and drive innovation. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Experience in developing asset strategies and whole-of-life cost assessments.
