The role: Provide advanced support for Azure-related issues, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions Implement and support scalable, reliable, and secure Azure technologies that meet client needs and adhere to industry best practices. This includes setting up and configuring Azure infrastructure components like VMs, networks, storage systems, and managing services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure App Services Use Azure portal tools to monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimisations Manage the Azure platform's performance, security, and availability, ensuring that systems are available, and secure Establish and manage backup solutions and disaster recovery plans to safeguard data integrity Assist in planning and executing migrations to Azure, ensuring that the process is smooth, efficient, and minimises downtime for clients. What do we mean by broad spectrum? Across any given week, you may be involved in any or all of deploying and configuring Azure infrastructure, managing and implementing security measures, database management, project management or complex troubleshooting and support tasks. As such, the Ideal Person must have a passion for technology and a deep commitment to internal and external client service. You should also bring to the table: Prior experience in a Microsoft Azure Cloud Administrator or Microsoft Azure Cloud Engineer role Exceptional understanding of Azure technologies and services (including Azure VMs, Azure App Services, Azure SQL Database, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Storage) and experience in deploying and configuring cloud-based solutions Familiarity with cloud architecture principles, including the design of secure, scalable, and reliable solutions on Azure In-depth knowledge of networking concepts and security principles, including VPNs, DNS, firewalls, and SIEMs Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and threat protection Understanding of the RHEL Linux operating system, including server architecture, maintenance, and administration Competencies in managing cloud databases including SQL Server on Azure Ability to troubleshoot complex Azure support tasks in a systematic approach to identify, diagnose, and fix issues We also assume you will possess tertiary qualifications and/or relevant commercial experience in managing Microsoft Azure environments and have current Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g. AZ-104 Microsoft Azure Administrator).
