Senior Business Analyst – Operations and Performance Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for driving operational efficiency and supporting business growth in the Agriculture Sector? We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst – Operations and Performance to play a key role in enhancing our business operations, shaping strategies, and leading high-impact projects that align with the company’s long-term goals. This is a hands-on role where you will collaborate across the business as well as with industry stakeholders to formulate the narrative and data around insights and impact. With this data you will report, plan and assist the decision-making process. Key Responsibilities: Provide senior management and operational leaders with in-depth business analysis to drive the achievement of Company objectives and enhance performance and efficiency. Conduct financial modelling, analyse market trends, and provide strategic advice to support business growth and the development of new proposals. Forecast agricultural market trends, including pricing, supply, demand, and commodity shifts, through data-driven insights. Utilise advanced business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) to convert complex data into actionable insights for decision-making. Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) to support managers and senior leaders in achieving efficiency and productivity. Lead and manage a team of business analysts, cultivating a collaborative, high-performance culture. Collaborate with business departments to streamline budgeting, reporting, and monitoring processes. Support key projects, including grants and development approvals, critical to business success. Monitor budgets, financial performance, and deliver data-driven insights for decision-making. Experience, Qualifications and Skills: Tertiary qualifications in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Agriculture, or a related field. CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification is highly preferred. Strong background in the agricultural industry, with knowledge of agricultural markets, production processes, and financial modelling. Proven experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting, ideally in a senior or managerial analytical role. Proven leadership experience in managing teams and driving high performance. Expertise in financial modelling, budgeting, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
