What's the Role: You are a commercially savvy finance professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for driving strategic business decisions. As the Senior Business Analyst – Marketing & Technology (M&T), you will play a crucial role in supporting Bradken’s global M&T function by providing financial and commercial insights that shape the future of our business. You will take ownership of financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and completeness, enabling leadership to make informed decisions.You are an analytical thinker who thrives on building strong business partnerships. Your expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis will be instrumental in setting and managing the operating budget and strategic plans for M&T. By providing scenario analyses and business case development for key projects, you will play a pivotal role in supporting new product development, commercial growth strategies, and material business decisions.You will be a key driver in improving financial processes and governance within the function. By ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, you will uphold financial integrity and risk management best practices. Your ability to streamline financial models and reporting processes will enhance efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring that M&T continues to evolve in a dynamic and competitive market.You are a mentor and a leader, guiding key stakeholders in financial best practices. While you will report directly to the Finance Manager – Commercial, you will also collaborate closely with the Commercial Business Analyst and other teams to enhance financial awareness across the function. Your role will not only involve financial analysis but also the development of financial education programs to strengthen business acumen within M&T. Key Technical Criteria: Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, Business or related field CA, CPA or CIMA with a minimum of 5 years relevant business exposure Demonstrated experience in a business partnering or similar role showing an ability to manage multiple stakeholders Strong PC (Excel) and systems skills is required Significant analytical skillset, including the utilisation of BI datasets and reporting tool This role is based in Newcastle or Brisbane, Australia, and offers a fantastic opportunity for career growth within a global organization.
