Responsibilities: Defining and ensuring requirements are delivered Analysis of the Customer / Stakeholders problems and requirements Documentation of requirements Assistance in scoping test cases Reviewing test cases with the testing team Writing & maintaining User Stories and Acceptance Criteria Ensuring Requirements meet Compliance Standards Creation and maintenance of support documentation (How to guides, FAQ’s, Process Maps, Data Mapping, Standard Operating Procedures) Converting complicated topics into simple explanations Reading, Reviewing, Discussing and Interpreting complex legislation, regulation guidance and prudential standards, Privacy, Security… requirements and being able to enable the product team to understand the constraints they must build and solve within Engage in understanding market trends, develop the insights, and share with the product guild Use data to support your analysis and review existing processes to understand: Bottlenecks, inefficiencies, where improvements can be made Knowledge Base: Good understanding of Superannuation financial reporting and investments Different investment structures used by super funds (PSTs, unit trusts, portfolios, consolidations, funds of funds etc) Daily unit pricing – buy/sell spreads and which price to use in different situations Understand unit price arbitrage (especially in relation to switching) Cash flow reporting to custodian – e.g. gross v net Daily reconciliation processes – e.g. bank reconciliation / general ledger to member record reconciliation Banking processes Monthly financial reporting Quarterly APRA reporting Tax provisioning / PAYG tax calculations GST / RITC – BAS reporting Tax returns Sustainability reporting – e.g. carbon footprint Experience working in a Super Trustee office would be of benefit (seeing the problem from the client’s viewpoint) Experience working for a custodian or a Fund administrator would also be useful Clear communicator – ability to understand a complex problem, but be able to explain it to someone without the in-depth knowledge (e.g. to developers) Influencer – ability to understand a problem and suggest a solution that meets the requirements and is best aligned to Grow methodology – be able to “sell” the benefits Strategic thinker – ability to propose strategic solutions, but also be able to break it down to manageable components (i.e tactical to strategic) Documentation skills – ability to write clear requirements, draw process flows, document controls etc Adaptability – keep up to date with changes in legislation as it affects finance in super and pick up new skills and concepts quickly Why you’ll love working at GROW: ME Days - Take an additional 3 days of leave off per year for wellness!
