Senior Business Development Manager - Banking & Finance | Major Law Firm Dalton Handley is a leading specialist recruitment firm, dedicated to sourcing business development and marketing talent for legal and other professional services firms. We are partnering with a tier-1 law firm to recruit a commercially astute and engaging Senior Business Development Manager. The Senior Business Development Manager will lead the firm’s Banking & Finance practice group BD effort, responsible for delivering revenue growth and building stronger client relationships. You'll be part of the wider Marketing and Client Services group within the Practice Business Development team. About the Role As a Senior Business Development Manager - Banking and Finance, you will be: Delivering on practice strategy. Conducting client feedback to improve service offerings and gain insights into client's business. Driving implementation of practice priorities including pursuing growth opportunities. Coaching Partners, Managing Associates, and selected Senior Associates to execute their business plans and build their pipeline of work. Preparing, managing, and contributing to tenders. Encouraging sharing of client intelligence and best practice BD across the firm. Identifying and leading strategy pursuits of clients and deal opportunities. Preparing submissions and helping to prepare partners for ranking survey interviews. Implementing integrated campaigns with the Marketing team. Leading a team of specialists supporting Competition, Intellectual Property, and Tax practices. Coaching and mentoring junior team members. Required Skills Experience in a professional services firm or corporate organization with complex stakeholder management. Commercial acumen and strong stakeholder influencing skills. Track record of coaching teams to implement strategy. Ability to identify opportunities and manage a strong pipeline. Experience developing business development initiatives for revenue growth. Knowledge of the legal services market. Experience leading and managing tenders. Strong people management and mentoring skills. Understanding of client experience and aligning BD activities to deliver exceptional client experience. Background in working with communications, digital, and events teams in a B2B environment. Desire to learn, grow, and mentor others.
