Senior Claims Specialist - Self Insurance We are seeking an experienced Senior Claims Specialist to join one of Australia's most trusted brands in a self-insurance setting. Role Overview Manage a portfolio of claims with a focus on proactive case management within this worker’s compensation team. You will be managing end-to-end claims, with a mixture of front and tail claims within a self-insurance setting. The Role Managing the relationship with a self-insured client and a small claims portfolio with both physical and psychological claims. Identifying, escalating, and managing complex or sensitive claims in accordance with VIC state legislation and other states as required. Working independently and taking ownership, while also collaborating with a national team reporting directly to the Workers Comp Manager. Accessing support from technical advisors & injury specialists to develop claim strategies that achieve the best outcomes. Calculating PIAWE including reductions and indexation, and providing advice to Site Administrators and Payroll on processing weekly entitlements. About You At least 3 years’ experience performing end-to-end claims management with a Self-Insurer under Victorian Workers Compensation. Alternatively, at least 5 years’ experience performing end-to-end claims management with a Scheme Insurer under Victorian Workers Compensation. WorkSafe approved training in the Role of a Return-to-Work Coordinator. Experience in managing relationships and competing stakeholder priorities. Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet agreed deadlines with a high attention to detail.
