About the Role We are currently looking for a Senior Cloud Automation Engineer to join our Cloud Services team and be pivotal in our Hosting Modernisation program. As part of the Technology strategy, CoM are currently undergoing a major transformation in the way we deliver and manage our core services, leveraging public cloud. This role will be key in delivering foundational services, transforming and managing workloads in cloud and driving an automation first mindset. The role will work with the Hosting Modernisation Program to define and implement capabilities that will fundamentally uplift the way services are deployed and managed into the future. You will bring thought leadership as well as hands on capability in delivering and supporting new platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for: Developing Detailed Designs relating to Cloud and Automation Capabilities. Implementation of Cloud solutions with an automation first mindset. Working closely with CoM Architecture and Cybersecurity to ensure that all Cloud solutions align to CoM standards and controls. Senior technical member of the Hosting Modernisation project to transform existing solutions to public cloud. Supporting existing and future cloud solutions. What you will bring to the Role (Selection Criteria) A relevant tertiary qualification, AWS certifications or equivalent experience Demonstrated experience in engineering and managing complex Cloud deployments Strong technical expertise in AWS (IaaS, PaaS, Serverless, Containers) Strong technical expertise in Orchestration and Automation platforms (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) Strong technical expertise in DevSecOps, IaC and CI/CD tools (e.g. BitBucket, ArgoCD) How to apply This is a fantastic and dynamic opportunity to build on the career you have developed to date and become an integral part of the vibrant energy that defines Melbourne city.
