Senior Commercial Account Executive Job Description We are seeking a Senior Account Executive, accustomed to exceeding targets, to join our Commercial sales team in Sydney. As a key member of the field sales team, your role will require a laser focus on new business acquisition, twinned with existing customer account management, to drive expansion opportunities. As a Senior Account Executive, you'll have a natural curiosity to ask questions, the ability to foster executive level relationships and love hunting for new opportunities, whilst maintaining existing customer relationships. You'll be required to have a passion for building and maintaining relationships at all levels, the ability to progress large opportunities from inception to close, lead a team of extended resources within Zendesk and drive a value based sales approach at all times. We require a creative, curious, tenacious and collaborative Senior Account Executive who is able to articulate Zendesk’s platform vision. Responsibilities Pursue a “hunter strategy” focused on land, growth and retention for accounts. Execute an account based sales strategy in ANZ’s top tier companies, with a robust pipeline generation strategy: leveraging the xDR and partner teams, while also contributing AE created pipeline. Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting with emphasis on new logos, plus a long term sales outlook. Consistently deliver an articulated value proposition for Zendesk as the vendor of choice in the Mid-Market / Commercial space. Exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue goals on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. Continually build a healthy pipeline coverage with new business, up-sell, and cross-sell opportunities. Become an expert on Zendesk's products and conduct discovery calls, presentations, and demos with prospects and customers. Demonstrate and sell value to key strategic stakeholders within the accounts during fast moving as well as complex sales cycles. Track all opportunity and customer details including use case, purchase time frames, next steps, and forecasting in Salesforce. Requirements 5 - 8+ years software selling experience; SaaS experience required. Successful record acquiring new business & experienced in selling large strategic deals. Experience building strategic relationships and selling to VP/CxO level leaders. Effective account strategy and outbound prospecting experience important. Consistent track record of successfully achieving quota. Technically savvy; thorough understanding of technology. Proficiency using Salesforce, Outlook & Clari is desirable. Skilled in presentations, demonstrations, remote and in-person sales processes. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
