Job Description The Senior Commercial Manager, Amadeus role is accountable for the successful partnership and delivery of outsourced core airline systems through effective commercial and relationship management with one of our most critical technology suppliers. This role involves partnering with our business across all phases of our customers' journey to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions and services. The services provided by Amadeus are at the heart of Qantas' technology landscape, encompassing core airline systems that are critical to the successful execution of the Qantas business, from the management of q.com to our most critical operational software. This role requires a strong focus on commercial management to ensure that the partnership with Amadeus delivers maximum value and aligns with our strategic objectives. Key responsibilities include: Leading and managing large scale complex outsourced technology contracts. Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with Amadeus and other related key technology suppliers. Driving commercial negotiations and managing contract performance to achieve optimal outcomes. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to align supplier performance with business objectives. Managing supplier governance, including identifying and mitigating risks associated with outsourced technology contracts. Monitoring and reporting on contract performance, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and conditions. Providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership on supplier management and contract optimisation. You’ll have: 8+ years’ experience in Commercial Management, Product Management, and managing large-scale outsourced managed service contracts in a large complex Enterprise environment. Relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce, Legal, Finance, Engineering, or Technology. Expert stakeholder engagement and influencing skills. Strong people leadership capabilities to manage direct reports and influence indirect personnel. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work cross-functionally and align business needs across squads and domains. Ability to solve, or lead the solving of, strategic problems of high complexity on a large scale and across multiple stakeholders and partners. Negotiation and conflict management skills.
