We are seeking a dynamic team member dedicated to protecting Western Australia’s lifestyle as a Senior Communications Advisor in the Biosecurity and Emergency Management space. In this key role, you will contribute to safeguarding Western Australia by managing communications in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity for coordinating communication strategies that protect Western Australia from emerging risks. Your ability to foresee potential communication issues and mitigate risks before they escalate will be crucial in helping us protect Western Australia. You will lead the development and execution of communication strategies for major biosecurity and emergency management initiatives, helping to build awareness and maintain confidence across the community. This exciting opportunity will allow you to work collaboratively with dedicated staff across the Department to develop and implement innovative strategic communication strategies to drive behaviour change. As a senior advisor, you will demonstrate the ability to collaborate with experts and engage with a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring that communications are timely, clear, and effective. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of the communications directorate through the development of innovative strategies, processes, and systems to enhance communication efforts. Employment Conditions and Additional Information DPIRD is an Emergency Management Agency and all employees may be required to work or travel during, or outside of, normal business hours to assist with incidents and emergencies.
