About the Role We are looking for a Senior Consultant/Manager who could be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Ballarat, or Geelong and is ready to join an inclusive and welcoming team with a portfolio of interesting infrastructure projects across Victoria, NSW, and Queensland. You will design, manage, and deliver communication, community engagement, and advocacy for nation-building projects spanning early planning through to construction and operation. What You’ll Be Doing Delivering best practice – You will play a key role in delivering leading communications, engagement, and advocacy on behalf of our clients as part of a team. Planning effective strategies – This includes developing communication, engagement, and advocacy strategies that involve communities and stakeholders and build social licence. Writing compelling communications – Creating engaging narratives that are clear, compelling, and involve the audience. Providing insights – Assessing complex regulatory, political, and social environments and how they impact projects and communities. Building trusted relationships that last – Acting with integrity, handling sensitive topics with respect, and taking an inclusive approach to involving diverse groups. Evidence-based approaches – Using data to make decisions, understand issues, and build positive cases for change. Fantastic time management – Keeping multiple projects on track, on budget, and on time – all while maintaining high standards. What We’re Looking For Consulting experience – You have a background in consulting, with a proven ability to craft community and stakeholder engagement strategies. You also have experience working on large infrastructure and transformational projects across the full project lifecycle, from prefeasibility to end-of-life renewal. Exceptional communication skills – You can simplify complex issues for diverse audiences and have a knack for both written and verbal communication. Leadership mindset – You're ready to step into a senior role, take ownership of projects, and help steer the team toward success. You know how to motivate others and lead by example. Strong problem-solving skills – You’re proactive, solution-focused, and thrive when presented with a challenge. Flexibility – You can travel to regional areas, are self-motivated, and love being part of a team and a learning environment. Qualifications and Experience Tertiary qualifications in media, communications, public relations, or a related field. A certification such as the IAP2 Australasia Certificate (or equivalent) is highly desirable. Extensive experience in consulting, with a strong portfolio in community and stakeholder engagement, ideally in complex sectors like infrastructure and renewable energy. Industry experience in related fields such as water, energy, resources, or government is highly desirable.
