An AO6 Senior Contracts and Procurement Officer vacancy is available in the Finance division of the Queensland Revenue Office.Responsible for delivering full lifecycle procurements, recommending procurement approaches, and working autonomously to complete procurement activities and managing a range of contracts.The position is based in our Brisbane office with flexible work options available and access to professional growth pathways.Please read the role description for more information. You can also contact Nina Lynch for further information on We welcome questions and look forward to hearing from you.Your typical day as a Senior Contracts and Procurement Officer may include: Leading an initial procurement consultation meeting with business representatives to understand their sourcing requirements and key priorities and constraints. Gathering procurement inputs by reviewing existing contracts, supplier performance reports, and conducting preliminary market research to assess supplier capability and inform sourcing strategies. Collaborating with finance colleagues to confirm budget availability and any financial constraints for proposed procurement activity. Drafting procurement documents, including procurement plan, request for quote and evaluation criteria, incorporating input from business representatives to ensure alignment with operational needs. Providing a concise daily update to your manager on key outcomes, highlighting new risks, issues, decisions and pending approvals. To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate: Well-rounded experience (3+ years) in a procurement role in a large-scale organisation. Proficiency in QITC or Government contracting frameworks. A proven track record in managing end to end procurements processes. Ability to understand business needs and how they translate into deliverables and key performance indicators.
