Overview: Full-time, Fixed Term position until 31st of December 2025 Salary Level HEW 8 + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements Based at the Bundoora campus, and hybrid ways of working About You The Senior Coordinator, Monographs & Digital Collections is responsible for acquisition, metadata management, and creation and maintenance of access for resources. The role supports teaching, learning and research at RMIT University and oversees a team of 6 employees who acquire and process electronic and print one-time purchases, including subscription textbooks. The successful applicant will display a high degree of technical knowledge, including analytical skills for collection acquisition and access. A high degree of knowledge of the Alma library management system will also be required to support sound decision-making for 2025 projects. Understanding types of electronic purchasing and implications of decisions on acquisitions workflows will be favourably considered. Minimum Requirements: Experience in a library acquisitions, metadata or digitisation environment, with a good understanding of current and emerging practices, particularly in the management and acquisition of eBooks and digital objects. High degree of technical knowledge, including analytical skills for collection acquisition and access. Proven record of innovation, commitment to continual improvement, and strong problem-solving skills. Experience with a large Library Service Platform along with project management experience. Demonstrated commercial acumen and experience in maintaining effective vendor relationships and sound negotiation skills. Demonstrated ability to lead a team, inspire staff development, drive performance, and successfully lead a team. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and through positive influence. Demonstrated focus on customer service resulting in the delivery of excellent customer outcomes.
