Senior Corporate Communications Manager (24m) Role: Senior Corporate Communications Manager Location: Zetland (Hybrid) Please note that due to the max term nature of this role, successful applicants will be engaged via a Volkswagen Group Australia (VGA) approved agency partner and not via VGA directly. Otherwise you will be working onsite/ hybrid at VGA as per typical working arrangements. About your new Role The role will work alongside the established Corporate Communications team to support the development and implementation of the VGA press and public relations strategy for the Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Skoda and Cupra brands. A key deliverable of the role will be to support product launches and events by applying robust project management methodology in collaboration with the Corporate Communications team, key agencies and stakeholders to showcase the impressive suite of VGA products and services to media and consumers. Additionally, the role will develop VGA social media strategy, leading the project requirement to establish greater brand presence in this area. This will include representation of key activities and achievements on LinkedIn to promote the achievements of VGA brands, brand activations and determining media reception. Your main responsibilities will include: Support the development and implementation of the Corporate Communications strategy, incorporating key company goals and outcomes Support the development and maintenance of media plans and strategies and ensure these are aligned across the brands and with senior management Support the planning and implementation of local and international media events aligned to company standards to create positive exposure and media coverage for VGA products Oversee the maintenance of the new VGA website Develop VGA social media strategy and representation of key activities and achievements on LinkedIn to promote the achievements of the group Brief and manage suppliers critical to the execution of assigned media activities and events Continuous improvement of PR strategies, processes and tasks. Identifying efficiencies, new ways of working and synergies across the brands Provide strategic advice to Group brands and internal departments About you To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following: Tertiary qualification/certification in public relations, journalism, communication or a relevant field desirable Press and PR industry experience Demonstrated knowledge of planning for large and complex events Experience developing and governing corporate press strategies Excellent organisational skills, problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to present to senior audiences clearly and concisely Our Benefits, Rewards and Recognition include: A culture of continuous learning, growth and development.
