Attractive Salary: Circa $220k to $240k Plus Bonus Our customer-centric client is a leader in its field with a range of innovative products and services. An opportunity has arisen for a commercial lawyer with a passion for privacy law and high levels of commercial acumen to assist the organisation’s legal function by providing strategic and commercially focused legal support with a specific focus on privacy matters. As part of a collaborative and customer-focused in-house legal team and reporting to a dynamic and supportive Head of Legal – Privacy & Regulatory, you will assist in providing strategic, commercially focused legal advice to leaders, managers, and executives in relation to privacy and regulatory matters. In this high-impact role, you will identify and report on upcoming changes to law and regulation, including ensuring change readiness in respect of any privacy law reform in Australia, and you will develop relationships with relevant regulators, including drafting correspondence. You will also explore and develop legal process management initiatives to optimise the provision of legal services to the business. You will be a highly adaptable lawyer with ten plus years’ experience with strong knowledge of Australian privacy law, ideally gained within a top-tier or boutique environment and/or in-house. In addition, you will have demonstrable experience building strong stakeholder relationships and solving complex legal problems in a simple and practical manner. Strong regulatory background, and an understanding of technology and security will be an advantage.
