Direct message the job poster from Interface Agency Australia Recruitment Consultant/Candidate Experience at Interface Agency Exciting opportunity to drive cyber resilience Global, ASX-listed organisation Flexible work environment (only 1 day/week required in office) As the Senior Cyber Security Consultant , you’ll play a pivotal role in strengthening the organisation’s security posture by providing expert security consultancy across core business functions, third-party suppliers, programs, and projects. This role offers an opportunity to drive significant cyber risk reduction while ensuring best-practice security controls and frameworks are embedded across the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Act as a trusted advisor to business and technology teams, ensuring security risks are identified and managed effectively Lead and conduct ‘Secure by Design’ assessments to align security risks with business risk appetite. Provide expert technical security advice, assurance, and governance aligned with industry best practices. Engage with divisional business and project stakeholders to enhance security awareness and improve consultancy services. Collaborate with the broader cybersecurity team to identify strategic opportunities for security improvements. Support incident response, risk assessments, and threat modeling activities. Manage security-related deliverables across various projects, ensuring compliance with relevant security frameworks. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to uplift cyber resilience and governance practices. Lead PCI DSS compliance efforts , setting up compliance frameworks Define and implement security strategies related to CISP compliance. Work closely with internal stakeholders across cyber, tech, and governance functions. Handle interactions with third-party suppliers and senior stakeholders to ensure compliance goals are met by the end of the year. No direct reports – hands-on role with autonomy to drive the project. About You: 10 years' experience in cyber security. 5+ years’ experience in a senior role or stepping up into a senior role. Strong understanding of security governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) principles. Expertise in risk identification across people, processes, and technology impacting cybersecurity. Strong familiarity with security and risk-based frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST 800, and PCI-DSS . Experience in working with cross-functional teams in complex environments. Ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to work across multiple service models, time zones, and multicultural environments . Personality is key – proactive, a team player, pragmatic, and able to raise risks early while providing solutions . Experience working with technical stakeholders and some business stakeholders . Hybrid working arrangements – only one day per week required in the office.
