Ready to lead the charge in optimizing data platforms for operational and analytical excellence? We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Data & AI Engineer to join our dynamic DevOps team. If you're looking for a challenging role where your technical expertise can drive powerful data solutions, we want to hear from you!As the Senior Data & AI Engineer , you will be at the forefront of developing and maintaining innovative data and AI solutions within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. You'll design, implement, and optimize data pipelines, deploy AI/ML models, and ensure platform performance and data integrity.Key Responsibilities: Data Platform Expertise: Develop and maintain specialist knowledge of data warehouses and operational database concepts, architectures, and modelling principles within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. Data Engineering Excellence: Design, enhance, and maintain clean, efficient data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric components to ensure high-quality data processing workflows. Data Governance Leadership: Mentor technical and commercial analysts, enforce data governance standards, and guide teams in best practices for data stewardship, including metadata management and lineage. AI/ML Integration: Work with data scientists and cross-functional teams to deploy machine learning models to cloud environments, ensuring smooth integration with existing data platforms. Collaboration Across Teams: Partner with commercial analysts, application developers, and data scientists to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions. Quality Assurance: Lead code reviews to ensure best practices are followed, knowledge is shared, and data solutions are built with the highest standards. Qualifications: Experience & Expertise: 5+ years of experience designing and managing relational and non-relational databases (specifically Azure SQL & Cosmos). 3+ years of hands-on experience working with the Azure Modern Data Warehouse . Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Python, SQL, DAX, KQL, JSON, .NET, and ETL pipeline development. AI/ML Experience: Hands-on experience in deploying AI/ML models and integrating them into cloud environments. Power BI Knowledge: Strong experience in creating and managing Power BI reports and dashboards. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead projects, mentor teams, and provide guidance on data governance and data management best practices. Certifications: Azure Data Engineer and/or Fabric Data Engineer certification and Azure Database Administrator certification are highly desirable. Big Data Exposure: Experience with big data technologies like Spark and Hadoop is a plus. Cloud Expertise: Proficiency in configuring and utilizing cloud monitoring and logging tools to address operational incidents, and experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure Pipelines .
