Quigly are a boutique consultancy with a great network of clients across many industries.Currently we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer for our Financial Services client in their data team to start around March/April of 2025.This is a 6 month contract with likely extension.About The Role Feature development in data ecosystem (Data Lake, Customer Mastering System, Data Orchestration, Cloud based infra) Help build new service, application that deals in credit decisioning, customer mastering. Help evolve/modernise data platforms that include but not limited to data orchestration, tooling, data products, reliability services. About You: Deep understanding of the data landscape and the evolvements in technology within industry Experience with Programming languages such as Python (or similar) Good understanding of data models and design thinking Solid knowledge of Software/Data Engineering concepts are a must to have i.e. data structures, release management & software dev lifecycle Extensive hands-on experience with AWS DevOps Cloud skills Software engineering skills, TDD, unit testing skills Big picture and strategic thinking i.e. Understand the commercial value of the work Ability to improve knowledge, skills, and ability of others to deliver against performance expectations and outcomes for the community Outstanding stakeholder management and interpersonal skills Ability to develop organisational policies and procedures Proactive and detail-oriented A recognised bachelor’s degree in data engineering, computer science, information technology or a cognate discipline Snowflake (nice to have) or SQL and other database experience sufficient Airflow experience (nice to have) Docker knowledge (nice to have) This role is based in Melbourne, and so must all applicants be.Please note you must be an Australian Permanent Resident, based in Australia to apply for this role.If you think this sounds like you, we want to hear from you, so please go ahead, send your CV today.
