Your New Role This role will be primarily responsible for: Working within the centralised dealing and execution function, with prime responsibility for equity execution; Ensuring that all trading and execution is completed efficiently and appropriately, and without incidents that could impact the fund's performance and/or market exposure; Managing the growing size and complexity of the role within an expanding fund; Contributing to the development and implementation of long-term strategic solutions for the Dealing function; Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders critical to trade implementation. Key Duties will include: Executing and implementing investment strategies across equities and derivatives, and assisting and providing backup for FX and fixed income as capable; Negotiating and managing large block and ECM trades to maximise outcomes for our members; Supporting development of the Liquidity & Implementation, and Dealing functional strategies; Providing advice and guidance to our internal portfolio teams (Equities and Exposure Management) in relation to implementation and pre and post trade analysis to support investment decisions; Monitoring and providing market intelligence to the investment teams regarding changing market and regulatory conditions, the progress of transactions and managing the impact this has on portfolios; Monitoring and managing trading activities to minimise implementation costs for the fund; Liaising with internal PM's with respect to liquidity opportunities that arise; Engaging with external counterparties to manage relationships, costs and outcomes for members. What You'll Need: Must have previous dealing experience commensurate with a Senior Dealer role within an institutional investment manager or institutional fund/investor, with a focus on equities dealing; Candidate should be highly skilled in institutional size Equities with a strong ability to negotiate and manage large block and ECM trades; Experience in extreme size Trade Execution (large portfolio/multiple leg and large single security) using high touch, algorithms, dark pools, block crossings; Ability to manage trades as a portfolio, not in isolation. This requires understanding skews, sector and portfolio risk and how to adapt trading to mitigate the risk and ultimately avoiding adverse outcomes to our members. Experience in the complexities of transition management and multi day portfolio trading would be extremely beneficial; Candidate should have enough knowledge of other asset classes (FX and Fixed Income) and securities to be able to understand the impacts, offer guidance and back up to other team members; Ability to work in a team environment, including collaborating with Dealing team members and other stakeholders; Self-starter with an eye for detail and willingness to take ownership of tasks; Attention to detail - ability to sensibly manage multi-billion dollar transactions efficiently without errors or incidents; Excellent relationship skills with people across all levels, both internally and externally; Strong Excel skills with coding expertise viewed favourably; Tertiary qualifications in Finance or related discipline; Undertaking, or intention to undertake, or completed post graduate studies in finance or related discipline advantageous.
