The Company: An award-winning and highly established volume home building company, due to continued growth are looking to hire an experienced Senior Design Draftsperson to join their growing product development team. Housing construction projects consist of a vast range of designs across single and double-storey homes within the KDRB and greenfield space.The Role: The Senior Design Draftsperson is responsible for facilitating the production of accurate and timely documentation.Reporting directly to the Design & Development Manager, the role is accountable for the assessment, identification and resolution of job particulars, and the resulting creation of construction drawings covering:Product Design Technical Detailing Master Drawing Collections Custom Projects Drawing-derived Marketing Material Display Homes The Senior Design Draftsperson will also support the Design & Development Manager in developing and mentoring less experienced team members and technical resolution of items raised by the pre-site and onsite functions.60% documentation and 40% product development and design.Other Roles and Responsibilities: Strong analytical skills with precise attention to detail A selfless, company-centric, can-do attitude. Excellent time management skills accompanied with a robust work ethic Confident communication and interpersonal skills. Role Requirements: Software proficiency: Highly competent in AutoCAD drafting software. Communication: The ability to communicate effectively, clearly, and concisely with a varying communication style depending upon the audience. Teamwork: Attend and participate in team/company activities, meetings, and day to day work activities, demonstrating respect and consideration for individuals, their differences, experiences, and expertise. Collaboration: Willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members. Attention to detail: Excellent attention to detail, precision and clarity when executing the role in general and communicating with others, both internally and externally. Time management/organisation: Accomplish objectives effectively within the time frame given. Demonstrated experience as a Senior Draftsperson in a similar role. A grounded understanding of residential construction, building regulation and planning framework is required. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Drafting, Building and Construction or equivalent is desirable but not mandatory. The key benefits for you!
