We invite you to explore the opportunity to join us and grow your career with us. POSITION PURPOSE The Desktop Support Analyst is responsible for all aspects of Desktop Support for the T. Rowe Price Australia Sydney and Melbourne offices, remote support for other T. Rowe Price offices, as needed, and is one of the primary contacts for the business users for technical issues, production problems, and inquiries. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, documenting, and monitoring desktop solutions to improve the overall user experience. Agile, flexible working environment with occasional off-hour and weekend support to provide emergency Business Continuity or other critical support as needed. Principal Responsibilities Setup, configure, install and troubleshoot desktop hardware and software ensuring full compliance with corporate guidelines and standards. Provides support including training, mentoring, acting as subject matter expert for certain software groups, answers questions, along with representing the group in large multi-divisional projects. Develops and tracks performance measures and analyzes results to determine best system configuration. Manages significant break/fix situations and installations of software upgrades as projects on the software that they are assigned. Identifies the issue, creates project plan and timelines, performs tasks and measures results according to plan. Local contact for Global IT teams to remove, install or replace server or other hardware as instructed. You will be the on-the-ground support for troubleshooting, when needed. You will be 1 of 2 onsite IT Desktop Support resources for Australia. You will have to demonstrate ownership for IT systems in the Sydney and Melbourne offices by being responsible and accountable to business partners and the APAC Desktop Manager. We are looking for a person who takes initiative (scheduling, tracking, ownership) with great coordination skills to work with the APAC Desktop manager and team members to resolve IT issues encountered in the workplace. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES / SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS Required: Minimum of 4 years experience with Desktop Support. Self-starter capable of excelling in multicultural environment, based in APAC region. Detail oriented. Strong English written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to translate technical information into easy-to-understand guides for sharing. MS Office 365 troubleshooting skills (Advanced level). Interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with all levels of management. Competent working with SCCM and packaged software installs. Competent working with ServiceNow. Good understanding of the Anti-Virus infrastructure and security procedures. Demonstrate a good understanding of the Windows and Mac Operating Systems and the infrastructure that supports them including Active Directory – Policies, Groups, and Users. Good understanding of mobile devices and enterprise solutions that support them. Ad-hoc weekend and off hours support. Preferred: Strong technical skills including a good understanding of networks, web based applications, multiple scripting languages: PowerShell, Python and DOS Batch files. Experience with user support and troubleshooting of Citrix and Thin Clients. 4 year technical degree + 5 plus years experience. Previous experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems: MobileIron, JAMF, Intune. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. An experienced IT generalist with great problem solving and collaboration skills will excel in this position.
