Milestone IT is partnering with a leading retail client to find a talented DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic team and contribute to the evolution of their loyalty management program. If you're passionate about building scalable, secure, and performant microservices in a cloud-native environment, we want to hear from you! About the Role: In this role, you'll be instrumental in developing and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our client's cutting-edge loyalty platform. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing robust microservices, ensuring seamless integration, and optimizing performance for a high-volume, customer-facing application. You will work within a collaborative, agile environment, driving innovation and contributing to the continuous improvement of our client's platform. Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, focusing on security, performance, and scalability. Develop and deploy microservices for the loyalty management program, ensuring high availability and reliability. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab. Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with CDK and CloudFormation for automated infrastructure provisioning. Build and maintain RESTful APIs (both public and internal) with API Gateway and WAF. Design and implement event-driven architectures using Pub/Sub and EventBridge. Ensure the security of the platform by implementing best practices and utilizing AWS security services (WAF, Cognito). Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and application performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues. Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of applications. Contribute to the continuous improvement of development and operational processes. Required Skills and Experience: Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in a cloud-native environment. Strong expertise in AWS services, including:API Gateway, WAF, CloudFront, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, VPC, Cognito Experience in designing and building infrastructure for RESTful APIs (public and internal). Experience with event-driven architectures (Pub/Sub, EventBridge). Strong proficiency in TypeScript. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CDK and CloudFormation. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab. Solid understanding of microservices architecture and deployment. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
