Senior Developer (Ruby On Rails Applications) Sydney, NSW, Australia Job Description Permanent role Sydney Join us in this exciting role where you'll have the opportunity to innovate and enhance Ruby on Rails applications, driving the future of digital banking for everyday Australians! How will I help? Design, develop, and test components for reliable and stable applications. Lead code reviews and provide guidance to team members. Recommend and specify interfaces, translating logical designs into physical designs. Ensure maintainable code that supports risk and compliance management. Use Agile principles and Lean thinking to influence work approach and value creation. Continually improve and automate processes for increased system flow. Expertise in Ruby on Rails, RESTful APIs, code quality review, relational databases, and CI/CD practices. What do I need? Several years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining Ruby on Rails applications. High experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs. Experience providing quality review of code and leading quality control initiatives. Familiarity with relational database management systems and CI/CD concepts. Experience with high throughput applications and performance optimization. Experience guiding and mentoring less experienced developers, with familiarity in Postgres, Redis, and Heroku. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and manage tasks to high quality and time. What’s in it for me?
