Federal Government I Canberra (ACT) I Closes 3 March Job Overview The ICT Asset and Contract Lifecycle Manager supports, manages, and administers contracts for software and application services and products across the agency. They will manage the full lifecycle of ICT software assets, implement asset management processes, ensure compliance with policies, optimize asset use, and minimize costs. Location ACT, Onsite. The agency requires the work to be completed at the agency's premises in Canberra only. Key Duties Develop and maintain ICT software asset management policies and procedures aligned with ICT Service Management best practices. Establish and maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets (hardware, software, and licenses). Implement tools and technologies to automate asset management processes and improve efficiency. Manage the end-to-end asset lifecycle, from acquisition to decommissioning, ensuring adherence to internal protocols. Conduct regular audits and assessments to validate asset data accuracy and identify areas for improvement. Track asset usage and performance metrics to identify areas for optimization and cost reduction. Ensure that the business follows the Procurement Frameworks and processes that the Technology Category Manager has put in place. Collaborate with procurement, finance, and ICT teams to optimize procurement processes, negotiate vendor contracts, and ensure cost-effective software, application services, and/or product acquisition. Support the organization to achieve operational goals through the delivery of commercially astute and efficient category and procurement activities. Essential Criteria Financial Management: Level 4 (SFIA) Monitors and maintains financial records to agreed requirements for compliance and audit. Assists with identifying and calculating process, service, project, and component costs for financial planning and budgeting. Organizational Change Management: Level 6 (SFIA) Defines and communicates the approach for change management for a significant part of the organization. Project Management: Level 6 (SFIA) Takes full responsibility for the definition, documentation, and successful completion of complex projects. Requirements Definition and Management: Level 5 (SFIA) Plans and drives scoping, requirements definition, and prioritization activities for large, complex initiatives. Stakeholder Relationship Management: Level 5 (SFIA) Identifies the communications and relationship needs of stakeholder groups. Desirable Criteria Performance Management: Level 5 (SFIA) Forms, maintains, and leads workgroups and individuals to achieve organizational objectives. Quality Management: Level 5 (SFIA) Ensures that projects, teams, and functions have appropriate practices in place and are meeting required organizational quality levels.
