Job Description
This is a great opportunity for a Senior Ecologist to join the high-performing and collaborative Environment and Heritage Services team. You will be responsible for providing ecological advice and conducting biodiversity assessments to support the approval of infrastructure projects along the asset value chain. Your subject matter expertise will also support strategic and operational business needs. About you: At least 7 years’ relevant industry experience, with proven experience in biodiversity assessments for infrastructure projects Tertiary qualifications in ecology, zoology, botany (or other relevant discipline) Applied knowledge of relevant NSW biodiversity legislation, policy and industry standards Technical competency in biodiversity field assessment, flora and fauna identification within the Greater Sydney region, vegetation mapping and threatened species assessments Understanding and experience with major water utility or similar Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and develop effective working relationships with stakeholders Ability to work independently Highly developed oral and written communication and negotiation skills Participation in industry networks for continuing professional development. #J-18808-Ljbffr
