Senior Engineer - Cloud & DevOps

Job Description

Lab3 is one of the largest Azure engineering practices in the Australasia region with a focus on Cloud & DevOps, Data, IoT & AI, Modern Workplace, Modern Apps & Integration, Security, and Network services. Looking for Senior Engineers with deep experience in Azure DevOps and GitHub to be part of our professional services team in our Cloud & DevOps practice. The role: Design, deploy and support of large, complex cloud projects on Azure that ensure scalability, reliability, security, and performance for our clients. Hands-on support for the end-to-end planning, provisioning, and implementation of Azure infrastructure services including security monitoring and management. Deploy Azure services as a part of an IaC environment. Leverage CI/CD tools and pipelines for full build and management of infrastructure. Automate to increase efficiency using IaaC with tools such as Bash Scripting, Python, Terraform, PowerShell, ARM, Ansible, Go, Chef. Partner with architects, consultants and peers to jointly create & review functional design specifications and Azure reference architectures. Play a key role in the build and optimisation of Azure workloads and provide valuable contributions and transition to post implementation support. Recommend client value creation initiatives and implement industry best practices where relevant. Work effectively with business & technical stakeholders, external and internal, to identify & implement best practice configurations of platforms. The ideal candidate: Significant design and delivery experience of Azure Cloud & DevOps solutions. Ability to understand business requirements and design effective solutions using deep Azure DevOps, automation and platform optimisation skills. IaC experience - Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell, ARM, Ansible, Bash, Go, Python, Chef. Knowledge of containerization with the likes of Kubernetes (AKS). Experience with Bitbucket, GitHub Repos, Bamboo, and Jenkins pipelines and in using Git and in migrating legacy repos to Git is preferred. Experience in the following is highly desirable: Azure network & Security design and configuration, Azure Governance, Azure Application Infrastructure High Availability Design, Open-Source technologies.
