Wednesday, 22 January 2025 Lab3 is one of the largest Azure engineering practices in the Australasia region with a focus on Cloud & DevOps, Data, IoT & AI, Modern Workplace, Modern Apps & Integration, Security, and Network services. Looking for a Senior Engineer to be an integral part of our network practice, delivering and supporting technical solutions across network technologies to meet varied client requirements. The role: Manage, support, and deliver the engineering of state-of-the-art technical solutions on Azure Networks that address customer's requirements for connectivity, scalability, reliability, security, and performance. Deploy and support large, complex cloud projects around modern network environments and services end to end. Deploy services as a part of an IaC project/environment. Leverage CI/CD tools and pipelines for full build and management of network infrastructure. Partner with architects, consultants, and peers to gather requirements and jointly create functional design specifications, strategy, and Azure reference architectures. Contribute to the technical delivery and execution of multiple critical engagements. Cross-functional support of professional services, projects, and managed cloud operations as required. Play a key role in the build and optimisation of Azure workloads and provide valuable contributions and transition to post-implementation support. Recommend client value creation initiatives and implement industry best practices where relevant. Support relevant Networking Systems - SD-WAN, Wireless, Azure Network, WAN, LAN, VPN, and Firewalls. Support internal and external engineers to identify best practice configurations of platforms and resulting workloads aligned to Microsoft frameworks. The ideal candidate will have: Significant design, delivery & support experience in modern network solutions including SD-WAN, SDN, SD-Access, Network Orchestrator, specifically: API & Network Automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform). Strong Routing and Switching experience – BGP, OSPF, QoS. Carriage – Internet, MPLS, Fibre, NBN technology types. Wireless – Wi-Fi, 4G/5G, good understanding of RF. Network Monitoring tools. Product Development. Cloud Networking (Azure) – VNET, NSG, Express Route, VNG, Peering. Ability to understand business requirements and design effective solutions in modern networking. The ability to effortlessly switch between projects and support, within networking. The desire to stay on top of network technology and constantly learn new skills. Excellent communication skills - you will need to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. This role is open to candidates based anywhere in Australia. You should be an Australian citizen with the ability to procure AGSVA clearances or already have Baseline, NV1 or NV2. What's in it for you?
