How you’ll make an impact The Marketing team takes a strategic approach to marketing aligned to AMP’s segment strategy and is responsible for the development and delivery of all marketing campaigns, collateral, customer engagement activity, data analysis, insights and digital. As the Senior Events Manager, you will deliver AMP’s external events across corporate, industry and client events, for the Platforms and Investments businesses as well as some Group events. You’ll make an impact by: Developing the strategic direction for these events, developing project plans and critical paths, budget management, forecasting, procurement and supplier liaison, ensuring a consistent brand experience across all interactions. Keeping key stakeholders informed and organised through an annual events calendar and ongoing updates. Effectively managing the annual events budget. Working closely with key business stakeholders on event objectives and post-event reviews. Negotiating and booking appropriate venues for scheduled events when required. Liaising with event sponsors and Distribution to ensure all agreed entitlements are delivered upon and measured. Working with AV suppliers to develop stage set concepts and event AV requirements. Liaising with designers in the production of promotional material, signage, posters and other event related collateral. Contract negotiation for all suppliers. Modelling the return on investment for events, lead generation/conversion tracking. Any other event management tasks as required – including events execution and willingness to be present for morning and evening events, including travel when necessary. What you will bring to the team Minimum 7 years’ experience in the ownership and delivery of events, at least 2 years as the Event Lead for a diverse business or division. Experience in working with a wide range of stakeholders – including marketing, distribution and product. Proven experience meeting set deadlines within a dynamic and changing environment. Exceptional attention to detail. Strategic events management experience. Comfortable working to tight deadlines. Fantastic team leadership experience - you will be an authentic/positive leader and role model to your team with tangible experience where you have developed, coached, and mentored a small team.
