Our Performance & Analytics team is a high performing, collaborative and business orientated team that work closely with our Funds Management (FM) business, Treasury and Finance teams to support Challenger's overall strategy. In this key role you'll provide insights to a wide range of stakeholders which will support strategic decision-making. We work flexibly from our Sydney CBD Office where you can expect to work 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. What you'd be doing in this role As a Senior Analyst you will be providing financial analysis, modelling and management reporting for our FM business supporting the annual budget and forecasting process and driving performance and process improvements.Reporting to the Head of Business Performance & Analytics you'll work closely together to deliver and drive Anaplan modelling, Workiva & PowerBI reporting automation in all that you do.Management & Regulatory reporting Developing monthly financial packs and board paper reporting for senior stakeholders within tight deadlines. Preparing half year end and year end analyst pack metrics and various market disclosures. Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual reporting for leadership team and investor relations, annual Three-Year Plan, Budget, and forecasting processes. Supporting the Head of FM Business Performance on a range of regular and ad hoc reporting deliverables for Senior Management. Build excel based models for analysis and ad-hoc reporting. Budgeting and Forecasting Collaborating with stakeholders to develop, prepare and maintain budgets and forecasts. Preparing and maintaining the budget and rolling forecast within Anaplan. Stakeholder Management Build relationships with key stakeholders across Finance and Funds Management Divisions. Partnering with stakeholders to develop, prepare and maintain budgets and forecasts. Presenting results and analysis to key stakeholders succinctly. The skills you'll need You'll need to be CA / CPA (or equivalent financial qualification) qualified, or close to completion. You'll have a strong analytical background with strong relevant experience from a financial control/financial assurance/management accounting/business performance/financial analysis type role.Experience working in Financial Services and/or a consulting background is highly regarded.You'll have a critical thinking and analytical mind set with a history of breaking down problems, finding key issues and resolving with a range of different options.You'll also have: Strong MS Excel skills - with experience of building excel based models for analysis and ad-hoc reporting. Experience with Anaplan or other forecasting & reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI, Workiva, TM1) is highly regarded but not essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to help communicate complex data in a concise and clear manner to your wider team and stakeholders. The ability to translate and present financial concepts and reporting to non-finance stakeholders.
