We are looking for a seasoned Senior Financial Accountant to join a financial services organisation known for its strong values.MARS Recruitment is collaborating with a leading financial services firm to recruit an exceptional Senior Financial Accountant for a 12-month fixed term contract. This vital role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial, managerial, and regulatory reporting. The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for managing the general ledger, overseeing month-end closures, preparing management accounts, analysing profit and loss statements and balance sheets, compiling statutory financial reports, and supporting board reporting. You should possess strong technical skills and exceptional communication abilities, enabling you to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.Responsibilities: Responsible for accurately maintaining the general ledger. Completing the month-end close process, including balance sheet reconciliations. Coordinating quarterly financial accounts in accordance with IFRS. Preparing monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet analyses. Assisting with the preparation of monthly management reports. Assisting in the preparation of the Annual Statutory Financial Report. Supporting and providing input into the preparation of reports for the Board & Board Committees. Contributing to ERP system implementation and data migration. Proactively making recommendations and engaging in process improvements. Effectively communicating financial information to other business units in a timely manner. Compiling audit files and managing auditor queries. Criteria: 3+ years post qualification experience CA/CPA/ACCA qualified Experienced in the Financial Services sector required (with insurance an advantage) Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce Strong technical accounting knowledge Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills Energetic, astute and motivated Note: Hybrid work model Only Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents will be considered at this time #J-18808-Ljbffr
