Job Description
Our client, a Tier One Mining Operator, is looking for TWO Front-End Web Developers. The right person is someone who is motivated to combine the art of design with the science of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of applications.The developer will be required to see out a project from conception to final product, requiring good organizational skills and attention to detail.This is a contract position located in Perth, W.A. Key accountabilities will include: Develop new user-facing features Build reusable code and libraries for future use Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end Deliver to agreed deadlines in an agile delivery environment Collaborate with all stakeholders, both across the business and IT Provide support to project team where required Have a problem-solving mindset and an affinity for continuous learning Qualifications and skills required: 7+ Experience as a front-end developer High level of Proficiency with Angular, Node JS, Typescript, jQuery Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3 Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery Have the knowledge of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks including, but not limited to AngularJS and Bootstrap 4 Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as SASS Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image Understand code versioning tools, such as Git Experience with Web API, RESTful services Advantageous to know Webpack Excellent verbal communication skills Attention to detail Full working rights for Australia is a must. Candidates currently located in Perth or candidates who are in the process of relocating to Perth preferred.
