Piped infrastructure around the world needs to be maintained and repaired in a way that removes the need for long, manual and fatiguing tasks. Currently, there are people who watch hours of video footage of pipe inspections to find issues and have outdated processes to manage their data. We’re the team that’s changing this. We turn visual data about every-day pipes directly into condition scores so maintenance and repairs happen faster, cheaper and more accurately. We’re looking for someone mid to senior level who is comfortable taking ownership of their role. In this role, you’ll be working within our tech team on the interface to our web platform product, creating scalable and performant code. As the team grows, you’ll have the opportunity to grow with a great team, and we’ll support you with the required training to do so. Day in the life In this role, you'll… Design, develop, test, and maintain the user interface VAPAR product and systems following industry best practices and coding standards. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate product requirements into well-structured, efficient code. Interface with RESTful APIs for seamless communication between different software components. Knowledge of Figma and UX is considered a bonus. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to coding standards. Identify and troubleshoot software defects and provide timely solutions to uphold product integrity. Contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of new features and enhancements. Create and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, design documents, and user guides. Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in software development to drive continuous improvement. Must-have skills On day one we'll expect you to have… Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in software development. Solid understanding of software development principles, algorithms, and data structures. Experience working with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows. Familiarity with modern software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum. Ability to analyse and solve complex technical problems and work independently in a remote setting. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Openness to exploring and leveraging modern and cutting-edge tools for development.
