Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Functional Lead with approximately eight years of experience to drive the successful implementation of Dynamics 365 Customer Service solutions and Power Platform initiatives. This role requires a strong functional understanding coupled with the capability to lead workshops, build user stories, and prioritise development backlogs. The ideal candidate will also mentor junior functional consultants while collaborating effectively with solution architects, Microsoft architects, and customer representatives to finalise comprehensive solution designs. Key Responsibilities Workshop Facilitation & Requirement Gathering Lead and conduct workshops to capture business requirements, ensuring all stakeholder needs are accurately represented. Develop detailed user stories and maintain a robust DevOps backlog to guide development activities. Prioritise and scope user stories to ensure alignment with the overall project objectives and timelines. Functional Leadership & Mentoring Provide leadership and guidance to junior functional consultants, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high-quality delivery. Act as the primary functional subject matter expert on Dynamics 365 Customer Service and Power Platform modules. Collaborative Solution Design Work closely with solution architects, broader Microsoft architects, and customer architects to finalise solution design. Perform thorough feasibility and feed gap analysis to identify and mitigate potential risks early in the project lifecycle. Engage with ISV products (such as N52 or similar) to leverage best-of-breed solutions where applicable. Technical Acumen & DevOps Alignment Possess a sound understanding of Azure DevOps, enabling seamless integration between functional and technical development processes. Ensure the functional design is fully aligned with technical specifications and adheres to industry best practices. Stakeholder Communication & Documentation Prepare clear and comprehensive documentation that translates business requirements into technical solutions. Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders, ensuring transparency and shared understanding throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications Essential Qualifications & Experience A minimum of eight years’ experience as a functional consultant with a proven track record in Dynamics 365 Customer Service and Power Platform projects. Demonstrable experience in leading workshops, creating user stories, and managing DevOps backlogs. Strong competency in Azure DevOps and familiarity with ISV products (e.g. N52 or similar) relevant to the Dynamics 365 ecosystem. Proven ability to perform feed gap analysis and collaborate effectively with both technical and customer-side architects. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to a diverse audience.
