Position: Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer Location: Sydney, NSW Employment Type: Full-time Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer to join our accomplished team due to an increase in project workload. In this role, you will take on a leadership position, mentoring 2 junior engineers who are working out of our Pyrmont office. This role would include supporting the growth of our junior engineers and building a team for the future of EI Australia. Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of junior geotechnical professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Manage a variety of geotechnical engineering projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards. Drive the EI culture across the junior team on delivering expert and critical data. Engage in the design process, prepare comprehensive reports, and develop project proposals. Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and regular updates on project progress. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 7 years’ experience in geotechnical engineering (3 in a senior capacity), with a solid track record of successful project delivery and management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and team members. Strong technical knowledge and proficiency in geotechnical principles and practices. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines. Leadership skills and a passion for mentoring emerging professionals. Preferred Qualifications: Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or actively pursuing certification. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and geotechnical software such as Open ground, Plaxis, WALLAP, and GeoStudio. Current NSW driver’s license. White Card (Construction Induction Training).
