Join us, and you can build something better for yourself, for our customers and for the world. We are seeking a talented Senior Global Trade Control Specialist to join the team. This role is based out of our Brisbane office, although we may consider other locations depending on the candidate. Global Trade Controls is a strategic business partner that enables Boeing’s business and accelerates Boeing’s global growth by providing expert guidance on complex trade requirements and regulations. Global Trade Controls collaborates with stakeholders to solve problems, offer innovative solutions, and shape regulatory policies to advance Boeing’s long-term objectives. Global Trade Controls as a governance team fosters a culture of compliance and helps identify and mitigate risks across the enterprise. Position Responsibilities: Provide Boeing entities and commercial and defence programs throughout Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific with advanced technical guidance across regulatory export requirements, with a specific focus on US, Australian and New Zealand legislation; Implement internal controls for trade control compliance, directing trade control activity and acting as a GTC liaison with Boeing and Customer Programs for trade control-related issues; Analyse applicability of global trade control requirements to DCS and FMS Programs; Oversee technical classification jurisdiction determinations, working with customers and US counterparts. Basic Qualifications Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law or related disciplines are favourable but not essential. Experience Advanced knowledge of both sovereign Australian export controls regulations, as well as US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), is required; Acquisition experience in the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) or Prime Contractor organisation; and/or Substantial experience in Supply Chain, Logistics and Customs Procedures; Effective influencing skills working with managers and supervisors.
