Job Description

Role Details The Senior Grants Management Advisor works under broad direction and is responsible for providing a significant expert function based on specialist skills, knowledge, and experience to manage, facilitate, review, and recommend changes to the division’s existing and new grants and funding programs, policies, and procedures. The role develops high-level, comprehensive strategic advice at departmental, portfolio, whole of government, and intergovernmental levels and brings together key policy drivers across a range of sectors and services to identify opportunities for planned and strategic grants and funding programs. Work under broad direction to develop, implement, and manage the strategic directions and actions for the delivery of the business unit’s grants programs and funding initiatives. Provide leadership regarding staff workload priorities and workload management. Apply extensive knowledge to oversee the management of procurement and contracting and risk management strategies involved in program funding and management. Identify data/information requirements to support service planning, management, and performance reporting using demonstrated expertise. Oversee the management of allocated budgets for the division’s grants programs. Manage resources and risks effectively through developing best practice and quality assurance systems, operational standards, and implementing risk mitigation strategies. Provide leadership, expert advice, and management in the delivery of high-quality client relations through efficient and effective practices and procedures. Facilitate consultation and communication with non-government organisations and the community sector to obtain the ongoing effectiveness of the Business unit grant initiatives. Special Conditions The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program. The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent. Some work outside of normal hours will be required. This role requires a National Criminal History check. About the Business Multicultural Affairs advises the South Australian Government on the development of policies that promote cultural diversity and all matters relating to multicultural affairs in South Australia. The Multicultural Affairs team is also responsible for the administration and delivery of multicultural grant programs, events, awards, community forums, support programs, and resources, which contribute to the government's commitment to supporting our diverse and vibrant multicultural community. #J-18808-Ljbffr
